The two (white) Americas

Nice piece on 538 looking at the power of religion and education in explaining the voting choices of white voters (with minority voters, it’s much more simple– not the party that marginalizes and disrespects them).  This chart shows the power of education and religion as compared to other demographic factors (notice the minimal impact of income):

Interesting to see the almost mirror images at the extremes.  More than 3/4 of college-educated whites who never attend church support Clinton.  More than 3/4 of no-college whites who attend church weekly support Trump.  Here’s your two Americas.
