What Americans think about gay people

A couple good Gallup posts on this recently.  First same-sex marriage grows ever more popular.


And interesting to see, that over the past decade, Republicans have shifted almost as much as Democrats:


Aso interesting is that people are increasingly accepting of the nature, not nurture, explanation:

And what I find particularly notable is that support for same-sex marriage is higher than the percent who believe gay people are born that way.  That’s good.  Gay people deserve respect and rights regardless of whether it is a something they were born with or something they chose, or whatever.
