How higher education is changing in one chart

I was going to just write a post apologizing that you should not expect much from me for the next few days.  Although, being at a Political Science conference would seem like the perfect opportunity for blogging, I’ll be far too busy doing other things and thinking about stuff I should be blogging about.  I’ll share interesting thoughts when I get back.

Until then, there’s this chart from the Atlantic that shows how college classes are increasingly taught by part time faculty and that this is directly coming out of the number of full-time faculty.  I’m just glad I got one of these ever-diminishing full-time, tenured faculty jobs when I did:
