I love this concept– a slideshow of bored kids at political events.  This is why mine generally stay home on the rare occasions I go.  This one is my favorite.

The only time I ever took the kids to a political rally was when John Edwards (!) came to Raleigh  during the 2004 campaign with Jon Bon Jovi in tow.  So worth it to here, “Wanted Dead or Alive” live.

There’s a reason no one takes Santorum seriously

(that is, other than the far-right nuts voting for him in Republican primaries and caucuses).  It’s because he says stuff like this:

SANTORUM: They are taking faith and crushing it. Why? Why? When you marginalize faith in America, when you remove the pillar of God-given rights, then what’s left is the French Revolution. What’s left is the government that gives you right, what’s left are no unalienable rights, what’s left is a government that will tell you who you are, what you’ll do and when you’ll do it.What’s left in France became the guillotine.Ladies and gentlemen, we’re a long way from that, but if we do and follow the path of President Obama and his overt hostility to faith in America, then we are headed down that road.

Riiiiiiight.  Requiring all insurance plans to cover contraceptives and allow gay people to marry each other is the path to the Reign of Terror.  The man is just a Grade A idiot.  TNR compiled some of his most absurd quotes last month, if you want more.  Does call to mind the Santorum classic on gay marriage:

On same sex marriage and bestiality: “In every society, the definition of marriage has not ever to my knowledge included homosexuality. That’s not to pick on homosexuality. It’s not, you know, man on child, man on dog, or whatever the case may be. It is one thing. And when you destroy that you have a dramatic impact on the quality…”
