Photos of the Day

Well, this has made the rounds in a couple of places, but it shows better than anything what a disaster Kim Jong Il has been for the people of North Korea:

Alan Taylor has taken the opportunity to put together some interesting shots of the Dear Leader.  What most struck me was the series of such genuine grief among North Koreans.  Clearly, his propaganda really worked on many of his own people.

  1. Think I’ve already posted this, but the photos in the new format you switched to are great. I’m sure this layout alteration is causing as much of a stir amongst your readers as facebook updates do!

Thanks!! I actually switched themes again about a week ago and didn’t even mention it. Kim complained about the new look– said it was less fun. I think it was as much about the font as anything. This theme is still not fun like Bueno, but I do think has a more pleasing look overall. I was able to customize the border color (I’d describe it as “butter”) to something much more pleasing than in the original template.
