I’m a dying breed

I love my physical copy of the newspaper. How better to eat my morning cereal than with the bowl atop the paper spread out before me. I’ll never give it up until I have to. Which, will be much sooner than I want if these trends continue. Via Pew:

Naturally, I also love my print magazines and books. Sadly, I haven’t written a personal letter in a long time, but I still receive them on occasion from students.
I hate reading the newspaper online. I much prefer the real thing, on the table.
But I love my kindle for books, esp as my eyes get worse. I can increase the font size for the situation. The problem is no longer not being able to afford the books I want or having to wait for the library to get them, its not being able to decide on which books to read. I have dozens of text books on my Kindle, along with some manuals and books for specialized graphics software packages so I can study up on them when I am doing other things.
Tons of free books on Amazon, older books, and lots of good new books for much cheaper then they used to be. As low as 99 cents.
I especially like audio books on my Ipod so when I am doing mindless work around the house I can listen to a book. Or a podcast.
Life is good.
