I love what Slate is doing for the Olympics with this feature… a called “The agony and the ecstasy: Olympic faces of the day.” It”s all about the human drama, baby! I especially like people joyful in winning medals less than gold. From yesterday:

2. If you examine his left forearm closely, you’ll see that he has a tattoo of Mario wearing boxing gloves. That’s true Italian pride.
