Missing blog posts
July 26, 2012 4 Comments
For some reason, WordPress is just not displaying a number of posts I wrote yesterday when you load in the blog. Very frustrating. Yet, the direct links to the posts work. At least for posterity’s sake, I’m going to use this post to link to all of them.
The guns the Colorado killer did not use
Maybe some gun lover or Chik-Fil-A hater found someway to just make all these disappear. Anyway, hopefully this post will show up.
Hey Steve — just took a look at your homepage and I see all four posts showing up normally, but I reset our server-side cache of your homepage anyway just for good measure. You may have already been in touch with a happiness engineer but if not and you’re still not seeing them in your browser, try using a different browser or logging out to see if there’s a local cached copy that’s not being refreshed.
Thanks, Matt! One of the happiness engineers fixed it earlier this afternoon. Apparently, the chart of the day post immediately prior to the missing posts was the problem. The text I copied over was chock full of messed up code that apparently wreaked havoc.
10-4, glad they got it sorted out for you.
They all have been showing in my news reader, and the links worked, so there was no problem on my end.
P.S. “Happiness engineer”? Nice.
